Description
Conduct effective interview/research to determine stakeholder business needs and translate into best in class ERP/MRP requirements.
Develop sophisticated models/prototype applications that provide SC process improvements and cost savings that support logistics strategy and long-term planning in domestic and international theaters.
Perform industry, competitor and customer research to identify trends, opportunities and threats.
Analyze performance of SC by preparing reports for SC Leadership on a regular and ad hoc basis.
Conducts distribution and network studies to maximize operational efficiencies and create best in class practices.
Assists in the development of logistics plans for production, distribution and storage of goods.
Develop alternative views and future business needs to assist management in making business changes in order to stay ahead of the competition.
Apply advanced analysis skills in the development of business process models, procedures and systems.
Lead teams to continually look at process improvement strategies for business processes and systems.
Acts as subject matter expert to provide business requirements for process improvements and system enhancements.
Develop presentations of materials, models, findings, plans and/or recommendations.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will typically have the following:
BS in manufacturing, operations, Industrial engineering, supply chain, logistics, Business or engineering or equivalent experience.
Five or more years experience analyzing problems and providing solutions; plus data and statistical analysis
Two or more years experience with financial and risk analysis, making recommendations and preparing business cases (CBA)
Must have experience in ERP/MRP (Oracle, SAP, Great Plains, Lawson, etc.) methodology, strategy and system integration.
Must have strong Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and data query skills (Brio, Hyperion, Cognos, etc.)
Strong business knowledge and experience in Supply Chain & Logistics fundamentals.
Aptitude to analyze discrete data to identify trends, issues and opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce the operating costs of the current and future VSP Supply Chain (SC) network.
Must have excellent problem solving skills and the ability to handle many different responsibilities with detail, in a dynamic team environment.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, good negotiation skills, strong problem solving skills, facilitation, project management, and have the ability to complete projects independently or collaboratively.
Preferred Skills
A broad understanding of SAP development and configuration practices
Experience with the SAP Materials Management (MM) module and knowledge of the integration points between MM and Finance (FI)
Experience with Inventory Valuation, Material Costing, Account Assignment and Indirect Purchasing
Experience with blueprinting business requirements for SAP implementation
Fluency in Six Sigma methodologies, Agile Project Management, Business Intelligence (BI), Continuous Process Improvement, Quality Systems, Leadership, Performance Metrics, Logistics & Supply Chain Modeling, Cost Management, SCOR 9.0, Data Mining & Analysis and Process Mapping
MBA desired
