FLEET MECHANIC
Night Shift 5 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
Sysco Minnesota, a nationwide foodservice distributor, has an opening for a Fleet Mechanic to work the Night Shift in our Fleet Department.
Fleet Mechanic Minimum qualifications include:
2 years vo-tech or manufacturer's schooling; at least 5 years truck-trailer mechanic experience and knowledge of overhaul procedures on major operating components, gas & arc welding. Have a MN Commercial driver's license including certifications in brake service, state vehicle inspector and Freon recycling equipment. Transport refrigeration experience is preferred. Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
Fleet Mechanic responsibilities include:
Performing preventive maintenance on Fleet transport tractor trailers; analyzing problems identified either through inspections or driver inspection write-ups; adjusting and repairing vehicle component including brakes, lighting, electrical and power system components; recording vehicle repair records to ensure documentation as required by law and for cost management allocation and contacting vendors to order parts not in stock
Physical Requirements:
Be able to lift twenty (20) pounds regularly and one hundred (100) pounds occasionally, be able to bend, stoop and crawl considerably
